With the rapid development of industrial technology these years, more and moreindustrial buildings are requisite in this filed. So people pay more attention to theseismic behavior of them. In contrast with the routine building, the industrialstructures have unique properties, such as heavy equipment load, asymmetricarrangement and uneven stiffness. At the same time, the stiffness will exhibitconsiderable variation between vertical and lateral, and accessory structure also effectthe dynamic properties of the whole structure. Moreover, less seismic research andexperience on the filed in the past, because the people focus on the research of civilbuilding and public building. So it is necessary to generalize the dynamic propertiesof the industrial buildings, improve the theories of seismic analysis for thesestructures and guide the anti-earthquake design.Firstly, this thesis details the development of seismic theory. Then it emphasizesthe current situation of the seismic analysis, in this part, the thesis ascertains theseismic design method and control index. Next, it analyses the mechanicscharacteristic of the shear wall structure and the structures properties of industrialbuildings. Above all, they will be basis of the seismic analysis. In the text, theresearch object is an existing industrial building which is also a shear wall structure inJapan. Firstly, it selects the single axis and multi-mass elastic system to simulate thestructure according to the structures properties. The thesis need to construct finiteelement model when it gets the results of the section area and inertia moment of theshear wall by Excel software. As mentioned, modeling, modal analysis and seismicanalysis of the structure are simulated by ANSYS program-a large universal finiteelement software. It can get the main vibration models through the result of modelinganalysis, and the natural frequency will be the foundation of dynamic calculation.This thesis selects the time history analysis methods to calculate the structuraldynamic response, and draws graph to express the time-history curve of everyparameter. By analyzing the seismic response, it could discuss the structural rigiditywhich have influence on the internal forces, deformations. At last, it should comparethe worst condition with the local seismic code in Japan. After checking the maximumseismic response, the seismic performance of the structure is required in practicalapplication in both stiffness and strength and the structure which was renovated is stillsafe. The purpose of this thesis is to explored a new way of seismic behavior aboutsimilar structure. Besides, it could provide a reference value to improve seismic research in China.
