In modern industrial production, induction heating has been widely used invarious industries and fields. Compared with traditional resistance heating andcombustion heating, the application of induction heating is becoming more and moreextensive in the industrial, commercial, and even civilian fields due to high efficiency, quicker heating, safety, environmental protection, relatively easy to achieve automaticcontrol and operate, as well as the characteristics of the local heating. Industrialinduction heating is widely used to heat the materials. Because of the time-consumingapproach based on experiments, the high cost, and some actual heating situationwhich often inconveniently use test methods to study the induction heating process. Therefore, in order to better master the heating process, the study on induction heatingnumerical simulation is particularly prominent. This paper is based on the study on numerical simulation of the induction heating.According to the principle of electromagnetic induction heating and the actualindustrial induction heating conditions, through correlative reasonable simplificationand the introduction of the vector magnetic potential in the electromagnetic field, anda model of the electromagnetic and temperature field of induction heating is given. For the most part, the numerical simulation of the finite element method isstudied, and its characteristics particularly suitable coupled field analysis is used tostudy the induction heating. First of all, a simplified geometric model is applied to thesubject investigated, and then a unit assignment, mesh generation and imposed loadare carried out in this paper. Secondly the coupling analysis of the temperature field ofthe electromagnetic field in the induction heating by multi-field solver using ANSYSsoftware is achieved. Finally different temperature distribution on the inductionheating is systematically studied, depending on the induction heating currents ofdifferent frequencies and the current density of the heating current. At last, the whole heating process simulation is achieved by using ANSYSsoftware. Thus, we can easily learn more about heating induction heating temperaturedistribution of the different parts of the workpiece, and a reasonable choice of heatingtime, so the paper has certain guiding significance for practical engineering.
