Internet-based hybrid testing combines experiment resources at the differentlocations; it may remove or ease the restriction of limited expermental resources on thescale of experiments in civil engineering. The methord makes it easier to conduct largescale pseudo dynamic test, and has been developed rapidly in recent years. But this kindof test is very much affected by the quality of network transmission, and the time spentto execute each step of the test is uncertain. In order to solve the problem, this paperproposes and develops an internet-based hybrid test platform with the specimensimulation module based on Openfresco. Several hybrid pseudodynamic experimentsare conducted to verify the reliability of the platform. The main contents of this paperare listed below:1. Data transmission tests are conducted in the real internet environment.Thereasons for the appearance of time delay are listed.2. The idea of prediction to the experimental element are proposed in order tosolve the time delay problem.3. The test system with data processing module,experimental element predictionmodule, data transmission module, load and control module are deveoped.4. Several internet-based hybrid experiments are conducted. The results areanalyzed to prove the effectness of the system.
