Along with the "low-carbon economy" is familiar by people, the prefabricatedbuilding will become the tide and tendency in the construction field in the future. Inview of China’s current construction character of high-rise residential with enormousquantity and widely used, precast concrete structures for housing industrialization areaimed in the project. In view of conjunction method for precast concrete structureswhich are suitable for Chinese national conditions, taking constraint overlapped rebarconnection as key point, the precast concrete system with completely independentintellectual property rights needs research and development. The research of verticaljoints of precast concrete shear wall has a important theoretical and practicalsignificance because the performance of it has a direct relationship with the integrityand reliability of the structure. The preparation of three precast I-section reinforced concrete shear wall specimenswith vertical joint which use core technology developed by the task group and base onthe actual engineering situation are used to studying on seismic performance under lowcyclic loads. By contrast three cast-in-site walls are prepared. The process of thedeveloping of the crack and a comparative analysis of the macroscopic phenomena inthe two kinds of walls under the low cyclic loads is obtained. The evaluation index ofenergy dissipation capacity and ductility index of two kinds of walls are obtained byanalysis the hysteresis curve, skeleton curve and stiffness degradation, the experimentaldata, then a comprehensive evaluation of the precast concrete shear wall on the seismicperformance is got. Seismic performance and structural integrity of the precast walls isbasically same with the cast-in site wall by comparison of the two kinds of walls’bearing capacity and indicators and the precast wall is as well as cast-in site one. Finally, a deep research on load-carrying characteristics is carried on the precastconcrete shear wall as well as vertical joint of the wall. A formula is put forward aboutthe shear resistance of the vertical joint through the analysis of the test data. At the sametime, it is proved to be safe and reliable that the current specification about cast-in-placeshear wall’s shear capacity calculation formula can be used in precast concrete shearwall. The analysis of the overlapped rebar form in the vertical joint shows that thestructural measures has reliable force transfer and can meet the connection performanceof the precast wall.
