Based on the performance of earthquake engineering research is the maincontent of the seismic field research, also be the forefront of aseismic design. Basedon the performance of the seismic design is most widely in the study also mostengineering application value is based on displacement of the seismic design. Howsimple effective estimates that the biggest the elastic displacement structure demandis based on displacement of the seismic design of the most important researchcontent. The structure of the elastic displacement than can be easily and efficientlyestimate of the elastic displacement largest structure, but previous studies of thestructure will be the elastic displacement than and structural strength or ductilitycoefficient is connected, and not directly under seismic load the effect of energydissipation structure. Studies have shown that structure damage shall be includingthe contribution of displacement and energy, and based on the seismic design ofrelative to damage based on displacement of the seismic design is more rational, inorder to and existing based on displacement of the seismic design respects, given thestructure of elastic displacement and structure than the contact between the damageis very important. Therefore, this paper modified Park-Ang damage index such asthe damage the elastic displacement ratio, the main research contents are as follows:(1) the statistical research different sites of elastic displacement of damage thancharacteristics, analyses the influence of the site, and gives corresponding simplifiedcalculation formula.(2) the research category, the magnitude, fault distance and nearly fault impulseand the ground motion parameter equivalence damage than the influence ofdisplacement spectrum; After the yield stiffness, P-Δ effect and structure dampingdynamic characteristics of structure damage equivalence than the influence ofdisplacement spectrum.(3) according to damage than the displacement spectrum, probability andstatistics for the largest structure characteristics of the elastic displacement demandand beyond probability. According to probability seismic demand analysis andprobabilistic seismic hazard analysis method, the elastic displacement obtainedlargest structure of the risk curve and consistent dangerous response spectrum.
