Abstract/Summary:
Because of its great available load, simple structure, small mass, small launchvolume, low launch costs, high temperature resistance and maneuverability,Inflatable re-entry technology becomes a research hotspot of many countries. Inorder to develop inflatable re-entry vehicle successfully, there are still manytechnical problems to be overcome. The structural analysis of inflatable structure isone of the important subjects. It provides an important basis for control programs aswell as structural optimization in aircraft design.Firstly, this paper introduces the technical characteristics and development ofthe inflatable re-entry technology. It describes the research progress on inflatablere-entry vehicle of various countries. At the same time, it discusses about the relatedtheories and introduces the geometric formula of the revivification effect. It alsodescribes the survey development of the geometric nonlinear solving theory of thefilm in detail. And, it shows how to deduce the formulas of frequency calculationabout the modal analysis. It talks about the method of modal extracting in finiteelement analysis as well. Then the paper shows the membrane stress formulas of theIRVE. It uses these formulas calculates the stress with different inflation pressureslater.Then, using the finite element software ANSYS, the paper analyzes thevibration characteristics of the inflatable structure and avail numerical solutions ofthe membrane stress with different inflation pressures are obtained. Comparing thenumerical solutions with the theoretical values, it shows the reliability of numericalmethod. Besides, it obtains the natural frequencies and vibration modes of thestructure with different inflation pressures and geometric parameters of the material.It finds the rule about how the mode changes with the changing of the inflationpressure and the geometric parameter of the material after that.At last, the paper uses the CFD software FLUENT to calculate aerodynamicforce on the vehicle when returning. Then, it uses that results as loads and analyzeshow the inflatable structure response with them. Base on this analysis, it verifies thereliability of the structural strength of the inflation structure in the end.
