Titanium complex grease is a new kind of excellent performance composite soap grease, which has so many superior performance that the traditional grease do not have, and which has widely application prospect. However, in the research process of titanium complex grease transform into the products, there are some existing questions need to solve, such as condensate, hardening and storage instability, etc. The high-end grease with a special property has been used as one of the goals of the grease developed; in recent years, the research has found hydroxyl silicate self-repairing additive that can confer the function of self repairing to the lubricant. There has been applied in the lubricating oil, the report has not been seen about the effect in grease, Therefore, to develop one kind of Titanium complex grease with self-repairing function has a greatly significance for enlarging its application field.This subject set up a device with titanium complex preparation for laboratory, by the study of the formula and technology of Titanium complex grease to optimize the ratio of raw materials and the sequence of addition. By respectively using the scanning electron microscopy and electron lens to observe the soap fibers of titanium complex grease soap, to reveal that it presents the space mesh group floc structure; and further starting from the colloidal structure of titanium complex grease, to establish the structure model for titanium complex base, to study the factors which affect condensate and surface hardening of titanium complex grease, to explore the approach for improving the storage stability problem of titanium grease. And by using the methods of infrared spectroscopy and mass spectrometry to analyze on the process and products of titanium grease preparation in the various stages, to determine the new association from the reactants to form the Ti-O-Ti bridge at the highest temperature phase, to reveal the adipogenic mechanism of titanium complex grease. Using the four-ball friction tester and grease performances testing instrument to make experiment, research the physical and chemical properties and the friction-reducing property of titanium complex grease. The results show that titanium complex grease has good physical and chemical properties, such as shear stability, waterproof, high temperature resistance, and has better performance on the friction-reducing property. On this basis, determine the preparation of self-repairing titanium complex grease, and to research the impact of hydroxyl silicate addition on titanium base grease of physical and chemical properties, and to discuss the impact of working hours, working load, the quantity of hydroxyl silicate addition on the self-repairing performance of titanium grease. Using the four-ball friction tester and M-200friction and wear testing machine to make the friction comparative experiment, research the self-repairing property of hydroxyl silicate, to establish the lubrication structure model for self-repairing titanium base, and to reveal the self-repairing mechanism of friction and wear.Through the research of this subject, summed up the excellent formula and technology of self-repairing Titanium grease during the processes of the laboratory preparation. This paper provides a reference for researching self-repairing properties of grease, and provides the guidance of preparing the self-repairing Titanium grease.
