With the development of the rural economy, although the living conditions of rural house have improved, haven’t according to the national standard of the design and construction, there is security risk in a lot of houses. In the past three decades, the investigation of strong earthquake damage shows that the worst destruction in all previous earthquake occurred in the rural masonry structure. Many scholars devoted to the research of structural reinforcement, which promoted the development of the reinforcement technique. Due to the difficult construction and the high cost engineering of the common reinforcement methods, moreover it has a tremendous impact on the use of the room, It does not apply to the rural areas where the economic conditions and construction conditions is backward. In view of these, the method strengthened with packing belt of the low cost and easy construction operation, which has smaller influence on the use of the room is puts forward.In order to study the seismic performance of rural masonry building be strengthened by packing belt, through the research achievements of relevant literatures, large-scale finite element software ANSYS is used to analysis and research and proposed the reinforcement model of the corresponding monolithic masonry structural wall, and it is applied to the whole reinforcement model of masonry structure. Based on some actual building of one town, ANSYS finite element software is used to calculate and analysis the unstrengthened masonry structure building and masonry structure building reinforced by packing belt or carbon fiber, and analysis the earthquake acceleration response, limit displacement, distribution of the stress and failure phenomena of the structure and so on. Therefore the anti-seismic nature of masonry structure building reinforced by packing belt or carbon fiber is comprehensive evaluated and the feasibility in the practical engineering is determined.With the increase of earthquake effect, unstrengthened model and two kinds of different forms of reinforcement model are respectively compared. The results of the study show that the fracture number of the reinforced structure in packing belt and carbon fiber increased, the width of the fracture is small, and the distribution of the stress is more uniform. Both two kinds of differentForms of strengthening methods can improve the bearing capacity of the masonry structure and improve overall performance. The earthquake acceleration response of the structure be strengthened is smaller, limit displacement is far less than that of the un strengthened structure; two kinds of strengthening methods are able to improve the seismic performance of the structure. The effect of the reinforcement form of carbon fiber is obvious. However, the price of the packing belt to be far less than that of carbon fiber, the process of the reinforcement of the packing belt is relatively simple; therefore this kind of reinforcing way is more suitable for strengthening the rural masonry structure. |
