Due to the low level of economic development and the weak sense of earthquake resistance,there are still a large number of houses of non-seismic measures and poor construction quality in the vast rural areas of our country.This makes the rural areas often become the epicenter of the earthquake,which poses a great danger to the safety of the farmers’ lives and property.Based on the investigation of the agricultural house in Gansu Province,this paper takes the mud masonry brick wall in the rural area of Gansu Province as the research object,and studies the seismic reinforcement.The main contents are as follows:According to the typical structures of the agricultural buildings and the distribution of seismic intensity in Gansu Province,the field investigation of the structures and distribution of the agricultural buildings were carried out.The survey focuses on the areas with high intensity and less relevant research literature,including Wuwei,Gulang,Lintao,Tianshui and Longnan.The main structural forms of agricultural housing are:raw-soil structure houses,brick masonry houses,stone structure houses and wooden structure houses.Three kinds of reinforcement methods were used for the masonry brick wall,and the low cycle test was carried out respectively.The failure conditions,skeleton curves,load displacement-hysteretic curves,stiffness degradation and structural ductility were studied.The wall strengthened with cement mortar and steel mesh can effectively improve the lateral rigidity of the wall and greatly increase the ultimate bearing capacity of the wall.For single and double cement mortar surface reinforcement wall,considering the bearing capacity and lateral stiffness growth as well as economic factors,the effect of single side reinforcement is more obvious.It,to strengthen the wall with angle steel-packing belt,causes the deformation ability of the wall significantly enhanced,effectively improves the weak shear resistance of the wall and strengthens the integrity of the wall specimens.The three-dimensional finite models of the mud masonry brick walls were built before and after reinforcement.The low cycle load loading were crride out to simulate the test procedure.By comparing the results of the experimental and the finite element simulation,it can be seen that the cloud image display and data analysis are basically consistent with the experimental results.The stress in the middle part of the walls unreinforced and reinforced with angle steel-packing belt is higher,and the cross cracks appear in the middle of the wall,showing the flexural failure characteristic.The stress at the bottom of the walls reinforced by single and double cement mortar and steel mesh is higher,and the cracks appear at the bottom of the wall,showing the shear failure characteristic.
