Hydraulic motor is an important executive component in hydraulic system. And axial piston motor whose property directly affects the stability and reliability of the entire hydraulic system occupies an extremely important role in hydraulic motor. With the development of modern society, all kinds of conditions are emerging in endless stream. In order to meet the requisitions, innovations in hydraulic motor is particularly important.Starting with the basic principles of motor, this thesis is going to develop a new axial piston motor. Firstly, based on the structure principles of motor, the structure features and working theory of force balanced multi-speed double-stator axial piston motors are introduced briefly, and its components are made by Solidworks. According to motor’s working theory, these components are assembled in order to produce a more visualized results. In addition, force analysis are made to motor’s key components. Through Matlab software, the movement rules of these key components are simulated and the relative curves are drawn to understand the rules well. These data are helpful to find better methods to optimize this motor’s movement rules. Then, the basic performance parameters of the motor, such as displacement, rotation rate, torque and the like are deduced. The relationship between plunger number and torque ripple are obtained according to a brief analysis of the instantaneous torque pulsation of the motor through Matlab. And appropriate plunger number is selected after considering all factors.Under the detailed analysis of several major leaks of the motor, its leak formula is obtained, and thus its theory volumetric efficiency is worked out. Based on all these theoretical data, an experimental test platform is built up to make theory experimental and data collection. The analyzed results of collected data are provided for verifying the correctness of the new motor’s operating principle.The analysis in this paper is only the initial stage of the experimental design of motor theory, which may provide experimental basis for the subsequent improvement and optimization design of the axial piston motors.
