It is easy for vehicle to attach the limit of coefficient between the tire and road,while it’s driven at high-speed steering in the road of low adhesion coefficient or lateralinterference. All these situations make the vehicle lateral sliding and spin, the trafficaccidents frequently happen. Automotive electronic stability control system as a newactive safety control system, real time monitoring of vehicles running state, the vehiclesare driven in accordance with the driver’s intention, and it can effectively improve thevehicle handling stability. Therefore, the research on auto control system of ESP is ofgreat significance as people on the improvement of vehicle safety awareness.In this paper, seven degrees of freedom vehicle model and the linear2-dofreference model are established based on the magic formula tire model for studying ofautomotive ESP control system, and has carried on the simulation of model validation.Through the theoretical analysis about ESP control system, determine the state variableand brake torque allocation methods, establish the control system structure. Based onPID and fuzzy control theory, PID controller, fuzzy controller and the parameterself-tuning fuzzy-PI controller are designed, the input variables are error and its changerate of side-slip Angle of mass center and yaw rate, the output variable is yaw torque.The ESP stability control system simulation model is established on the basis of vehiclemodel, reference model, brake torque distribution model and controller. The responsecharacteristic of ESP control system model is analyzed in different driving conditions.Based on Adams, ESP control system model is carried on co-simulation analysis,combining automotive ESP control system of the parameter self-tuning fuzzy-PI controlas control strategy. By setting the dSPACE hardware in loop simulation platform toverify the effectiveness of the automotive ESP control strategy.
