Wind load is the dominant load that affects the high-rise building safety andserviceability. Wind-induced response is also the primary concern in the design ofhigh-rise building. With the continuous increase of the wind-induced response, thewind-induced vibratuin control has become the focus of current researches. Based onthe application of tuned liquid damper (TLD) on an actual structure to control thewind-induced vibration, the study of reducing the wind-induced response with tunedliquid damper has been performed in this paper.At first, calculation method of TLD is given.Then the wind-vibration time historyanalysis of the target building without tuned liquid damper (TLD) is completed.Wind-induced response of the target building without TLD is obtained by calculating.Then by analyzing the parameters of TLD on damping effect, the TLD which the targetbuilding needed is designed. And at last, Wind-induced response of the target buildingwith TLD is obtained by calculate. By comparing with the wind-induced response ofbuilding with TLD and the response without TLD, the analysis of TLD on the effect ofdamping wind-induced response is completed.In this paper, the basic principle of deep theory is explained first. The equations ofTLD-structure interaction and their silutions are derived by creating rectangular TLDmodel. Then the brief situation of wind tunnel test is showed. Considering the influenceof terrain and surrounding buidings, the wind load time history of16wind directions insix conditions and two types of wind field is obtained from mutli-point synchronouspressure text. By using step-by-step integration method, wind-induced response of thebuilding without TLD is analyzed. The wind-induced displacement and accelerationresponse are given and it is found that the maximum acceleration response of top floorin across-wind is beyond the specification. It is necessary to control wind-inducedvibration of the building. Finally, wind-induced vibration control by using tuned liquiddamper (TLD) is studied. By designing the TLD, the parameters of TLD on dampingeffect are analyzed. And the best program of designing TLD is also obtained. The resultof wind-induced response of building with TLD shows that the wind-induceddisplacement and acceleration response of top floor in across-wind with TLD arereduced by25.08%and28.49%. The acceleration response which is beyond thespecification without TLD is consistent with the specification requirement with TLD. By applying TLD to wind-induced vibration control, the response of structure can bereduced effectively and the comfort can be enhanced greatly.
