In recent several years, with the rapid development of automobile industry, therequirements for the lightweight of automobile becomes higher and higher. This steelgrade shows high requirements for quality, especially higher cold forming property.After analysis on the product injection, it can be contended that there is muchimprovement room for the forming property which can influence the competitivenessof steel plates.Six sigma management model, as a quality management model, is highlyrespected in recent years. The management model integrates a number of effectivequality improvement tools, which can analyze many factors that can influence theproducts quality systematically and carefully, then look for and establishimprovement measures to improve the quality of products.There are many factors influencing the quality of automobile beam steelproducts with high strength, which makes the analysis complicated and difficult tocontrol; thus, Six sigma method is used to improve the quality and competitiveness.The thesis makes a detailed elaboration on Six sigma management model, introducesthe process flow of automobile beam steel, analyses the quality improvement room ofautomobile beam steel, and elaborates in detail the specific case of how to improvethe expansion ratio of automobile beam steel with the application of Six sigmamanagement model. In the final part of this thesis, combining with the specific workof the enterprise, the concrete and feasible measures will be put out for the enterpriseto deepen carrying forward Six sigma management model and pursue the excellentperformance, which can be used for reference for related enterprises using Six sigmamanagement to improve the products quality and promoting the operational quality ofenterprises fully.
