In recent years, people pay more attention to Energy saving and environmentalprotection. So there is no doubt that the high strength steel and high strength concretewill be the direction of development in future engineering construction. After WenChuan earthquake, people attach more and more importance to the double couplingbeam. However, the experiment of double coupling beam and high strength steel is soshort in the domestic research field that a few difficulties are not solved in the use andspread of them. Therefore, the seismic behavior of high strength steel and highstrength concrete double coupling beam is analyzed by using the large-scale generalsoftware ABAQUS in this paper.In this dissertation, the major achievements and the originality innovation areobtained as follows:1、The high strength steel and high strength concrete single beam model anddouble beam model in the experiment are simulated by finite element software. Theresults of experiment and finite element software are contrasted from the loaddisplacement curve, the development process of crack, the ultimate failure state, thesteel stress and the internal forces of coupling beam and shear wall. The results of thefinite element analysis are in good agreement with the experimental results. It showsthat the finite element analysis in this paper has some reference value, and it can beused to guide future experimental research.2、This paper puts forward a new double coupling beam equivalent method.and gives thespecific method and example of it. This method is called the angular stiffness equivalent method.We have tested the accuracy of angular stiffness equivalent method and the improvement of theductility of coupling beams in elastic and elastic-plastic aspects by using ANSYS and ABAQUS.3、the analysis of coupling beam which configures resisting shear short steel baris also showed in this paper. The results show that not only it could reduce the steelprocessing and layout construction inconvenience but also the beam resisting shearability and the structure’s ductility are significantly improved.
