Nowadays, with the rapid urbanization of the city, the city’s population isgrowing, also traffic congestion and accidents often occur, to develop public transportis an effective method to solve these problems. Public transport environment iscomplex and prone to disputes and criminal cases. For the safety of the passengers, toestablish a comprehensive real-time video surveillance system is very important. It isnot only better resolving disputes, reducing the incidence of car crime incidents,providing technical support for the police, but also be able to regulate the bus driver’sdriving operation, to reduce traffic hazards.This paper make analysis and research to video surveillance system, using TI’sDM355board and Linux operating system. This paper includes a number of importantissues in the process of development, including the transplantation of3G, subtitlesproducing and superimposing, intelligent detection, IPIPE using, and also includingcommunication of various functional modules. And also, make the solution to theproblems.Finally, system testing and data analyzing show that, the CPU of DM355remainsat about80%, and with3G network, the frame rate of the video uploaded is about7,the transmission rate is about120KB. Overall, the system reaches the desired effect.
