The composite beams, which are composed of steel beams, reinforced concreteslabs and shear connectors, are economical and reasonable supporting members. Thecrumb rubber concrete is a new type of concrete which possesses well deformation,strong cracking resistance, high absorption of energy, well abrasion resistance, hightoughness and low vibration noise. The fatigue behavior of the steel-crumb rubberconcrete composite beams needs to be researched. Till now, the research work ofcomposite beams and shear connectors just focus on experiments, and lack oftheoretical analysis and numerical simulation.The steel-crumb rubber concrete composite beams are simulated with ANSYS inthis paper. Double non-linearity and fatigue behavior of steel-crumb rubber concretecomposite beams with different proportion of crumb rubber are analyzed. Theproportions of crumb rubber are0,5%,10%and15%. Besides, lower load limit,reinforcement ratio of the concrete slab and the strength of the channel shearconnector have influence on the fatigue lifetime of the composite beams and theinfluence is researched in this paper.Through research, it can be found that the ultimate bearing capacity and fatiguelifetime of steel and crumb rubber concrete composite beam(the proportion of crumbrubber is5%and10%) is a little lower than the composite beams with commonconcrete. It may because some of the skeletal material of the crumb rubber concreteare replaced by crumb rubber. The tensibility and the cracking resistance of thecomposite beams are promoted by using crumb rubber concrete. In addition, theresearch shows that the strength of the channel connector has a great influence on thefatigue lifetime of the composite beams. The lower load limit and the reinforcementratio of the concrete slab influence the fatigue lifetime to some degree.
