With the sustained and rapid development of China’s national economy, China hasbecome the world’s second largest electricity consumer following the United States.Shortage of coal and other conventional energy sources has a serious impact oneconomic development, and people think that environmental problems are caused due tocoal power increasing. In this case, to seek new energy sources in order to optimize thepower structure has become a top priority. Wind power is the most technologicallymature, the largest development and commercialization prospects for developmenttechnology in addition to hydroelectric power. Wind power has been more and moreattention and favor in the world.The wind turbine can be divided into two types: vertical axis wind turbines andhorizontal axis wind turbine. Wind turbine spindle perpendicular to the ground, it iscalled a vertical axis wind turbine. Wind turbine spindle parallel to the ground, it iscalled the horizontal axis wind turbine, and it is perpendicular to the plane of rotation ofthe wind turbine.With its lower cost, more and more attention has been paid to verticalaxis wind turbine in recent years. The vertical axis wind turbine can achieve large-scaleapplication, the key factor is the vertical axis wind turbine wind turbine tower’sstructure. Based on that, this paper aims to numerical simulation analysis, including thetwo parts of the wind turbine and tower, and reliable advice for optimizing the structureof the vertical axis wind turbine structural characteristics.This article summarizes the course of development of vertical axis wind turbineresearch status and development trends, background and significance of the subject.This paper make a design analysis for overall parameters of vertical axis wind turbine,Using CFD technology establish the two-dimensional wind turbine vertical model,and make a analysis for the calculation of the vertical axis wind turbine load usingSliding Meshs. At the same time, This paper make Finite element static and dynamicsanalysis for vertical axis wind turbine structural model using ANSYS. This paperdiscuss the finite element model analysis, analysis of anti-seismic characteristics of thewind turbine. For the structural optimization of wind turbine design to make their ownreliable advice.The research results are valuable for the engineering application, and also havemagnificent guidance meaning for the VAWT subsequent large-scale application.
