Automatic hydraulic shift transmission become the primary choice for high-power vehicle models.it has the advantages of great transmission power, a smallshift effect, strong ability to adapt to the environment etc. At the same power, thehydraulic has a higher capability withstand to jamming and high temperature. Withthe development of the technology of the shift transmission, the gear of thetransmission has more and more choices and its dynamic performance, economyand competitiveness are increasing. at the same time, according to road conditionsAutomatic hydraulic transmission automatically selects the gear, so that the driverin a complex working environment has a better operating environment. Thedevelopment of the transmission technology in China is relatively backward. Thetheory and research of Shift control are also less compared to foreign. Thus it isvery necessary to study the automatic transmission controller.In this paper, on the basis of mechanical body of the MA5711transmission,there has launched a improvements and study of the Gear selection actuator and thecontroller.In the beginning of the paper, there has a more detailed analysis andelaboration of the mechanical structure and the hydraulic control circuit of theMA5711body, and a brief introduction of the processes of the transmission shift.Based on that, there also has an analysis of the functional requirements of the Gearselection actuator and the TCM controller.And then, the paper choose the XC2785chip as the microcontroller of theGear selection actuator and there is a comparison of characteristics of the XC2785chip of the Infineon and the TMS2812chip. Based on the XC2785chip, the papercomplete the hardware designing of the Gear selection actuator and launch ahardware designing of the of the core(TCM)controller. There is also an briefintroduction of J1939which is a upper layer protocol fit for the CANcommunication between the Gear selection actuator and the TCM controller. Anddesigning of the software function program has been completed based on thehardware. On the basis of the two in the former, the debugging of the transmission in avehicle has done. In this process, at first the parameters calibration has been doneand we record the diversification of status parameter of the transmission, drawninto a state curve, and study the control law, the control law in line with thecontroller design requirements.
