With the development of military technology, new threats come forthconstantly. The relationship between attack and defense becomes severe day byday. For solving the conflict between demanded maneuverability andmaneuverability ability of missile, the technology of lateral jet and aerodynamicfins compound control came into being. The lateral force can be produced bylateral jet fittings in this control technology, which can improve response qualityand maneuverability ability. The contents and achievements are described asfollows:1) The modeling of lateral jet and aerodynamic fins compound controlsystemCoordinate systems and transform of Coordinate systems were presentedfirstly, in order to research lateral jet and aerodynamic fins compound control.The math modeling of lateral jet fittings was established. The linearization ismade to attain coupling model of pitching and yawing.2) The method research of lateral jet and aerodynamic fins compoundcontrolFor rolling missile, the lateral jet loop control method is studied usingvariable structure control method. In the research, for the angle of attach andoverload control, the different model are built, and the effectiveness of theproposed approaches are validated by numerical simulation and the controlsystem is “stable, precise, and fast”.3) The simulation of lateral jet and aerodynamic fins compound controlBased on above two researches, the six-degree-of-freedom simulation modelof interceptor is established and the performances of the compound controlmethod and guidance law are examined. The results show that the miss distancedecreased with lateral jet and aerodynamic fins compound control methodeffectively, comparing to the aero-fins control method.
