AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) is one of the technologies of mobile robot whichrose in the late twentieth century. With the development of the technology, AGV hasbeen applied practically in the logistics conveyor, such as port, automatic warehouse,automatic processing line etc. It promotes the automation and flexibility of the logisticsprocess.This paper aims to develop a kind of logistics conveyor AGV which be used ceramicdrying production line and demand higher precision of parking position. The researchincludes the following key technologies, for example, the orientation, the intelligenceanalysis and processing, the vehicle motion control, and high precision parking positioningetc. Based on the scheme of double machine vision guided and mechanical structure ofsingle wheel drive and swerve, it analyses the kinematic principles and ways of controlmethod. It studies the image collection of machine vision, image preprocessing, the featurepoint of guidance extraction technology, and puts forward the solution of the problemabout light interference problems and the camera’s image distortion. Based on thelocalization method of visual servo technology, it solves the problem about the accuratepositioning of forklift. Furthermore, the floating camera’s calibration technique change inthe lens of the depth of field with the process of forklift’s ascension and floating down isresearched. Based on the Labview, AGV’s measurement and control procedure isdeveloped.Based on the above theory and technology research, the ceramic drying line AGVforklift was exploited, and successfully applied to the practical production.
