As the main noise source of heat saws, The noise and vibration control of circular saws has been a difficult engineering problem long since. Nevertheless, because complex mechanical、signal and acoustical problem exist in the contorl of vibration and noise of the variable pitch circular saw, the total and particular researches on vibration and noise of the variable pitch circular saw have been still rather rare so far. Vibration and noise of theΦ2000circular saw in sawing is considered in this study. Structure parameters optimization of variable pitch circular saws may support in structural optimization of circular saw and provide theoretical guidance for relevant blades manufacturer. The main work will be concluded as follows:(1)A two dimensional force model of a single tooth cutter and a multitooth cutter for dynamic sawing is proposed. The vibration and noise minimizing mechanism of variable pitch saws is analyzed in frequency domain.(2) The reason for the offset of radial and tangential forces is analyzed, and then, the mechanism of circular saws-radiated noise which is excited by the offset radial and tangential forces is analyzed. Furthermore, the effect of blade’s diameter、thickness and the ratio of chuck and blade on acceleration noise is also analyzed.(3)Sawing force model of a single tooth cutter is simulated in time domain. Furthermore,pitch angles of variable pitch circular saws are optimized based on frequency domain in MATLAB.The effects of the type of tooth-spacing angle and the group number of teeth on noise minimizing are compared in frequency domain.(4) The vibration and noise of common circular saws and varialbe pitch circular saws are simulated by using FEM and BEM. The validity of the effect of the type of tooth-spacing angle and the group number of teeth on noise minimizing is verified.
