Dam security monitoring is the way to ensure the security of dam, which plays a very important role in the safe of the dam, it’s also an effective way to judge the safety of the dam operation. This paper discussed the significance and necessity of the dam safety monitoring, designed a dam safety monitoring system.Firstly, combined with the existing technology at home and abroad,the dam safety monitoring’s purpose and contents were discussed, completed the overall system design, hardware selection, communications options and software development.Among overall program includes the design of principles, system architecture, development environment, system functions and system processes. Secondly, taking into account the reliability and scalability of the software,the dam safety monitoring system uses distributed data acquisition. Thirdly, the real-time acquisition of osmotic pressure, flow, level and displacement data is transmitted through the optical fiber to the control room host, and then use the software processing data,by observing the real-time data in the software interface, the corresponding graphs and reports to monitor real time rainfall and judge the degree of dam danger.The automatic dam safety monitoring system uses a flat-screen graphics, three-dimensional visual simulation graphics, water resources optimal model library and simple regression model technology,which show a dam safety information.lt can not only to detect the danger of the dam, but also enhance the efficiency of the management of the dam and save labor costs.
