The energy is the driving force of the economy. With the development of economy, that results in a increase of energy demands, there are also some problems along with it. The rapid economic development in China results in a increase of energy demands。 According to statistics, in2010, resource and energy wastage in Our Country leaped to the first place in the world, against America, thereby becoming one of the largest resource and energy wastage country in the world. There is still a big gap between China and America in terms of economic, but resource and energy wastage is larger than America, that is to say that the energy utilization efficiency is very low. The low energy utilization efficiency and high energy wastage results in the Environmental pollution.Our Country came to be aware of the seriousness of energy problem, make the reducing greenhouse gas emissions by conserving energy to the strategy for economic development. So, the utilizing waste heat and develop trend of new energy is the only real solution of the energy problem.In this paper, based on the Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), the ORC with isopentane as working fluid was design and analyzed. Based on the6S50MC-C8.1-TII marine diesel engine for such a study, design the marine diesel engine Waste Heat Recovery, and the parameter of the system is optimized by MATLAB. The ocean thermal energy and solar energy conversion system was designed based on Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), using isopentane as the working fluid, and then optimized the system parameter, design the each main system components. The aerodynamic design and geometric optimization of the turbine in the system is presented, followed by the evaluation of CFD simulation, include steady and unsteady simulation, and then analyze the flow flew.Some important conclusions is summarized below:Isopentane is the better fluid as the ORC system working fluid. The marine diesel engine waste heat recovery system increase the utilization rate of energy source, reduce the environment pollution. The ocean thermal energy and solar energy conversion system has the advantage of both, the system has an efficiency of13.6%. The turbine was operated as high expansion ratio and high Mach number.
