Research On The New AGC System Model And Control Scheme

This paper is the research about the AGC system model and its control theory. The control signal time delay in communication network and the unit control system are the important influencing factors to the performance of automatic generation control system (AGC). In traditional AGC system model the two factors were not taken into account, which could not exactly reflect the actual AGC system. Based on the traditional model, the new AGC model of two areas, which included time delay and unit control system, was presented. The equivalent transform theory of time delay was also presented and proved. The design of AGC controller in new model was changed to design of output feedback controller by mathematics transform. The controller design method suiting the new mode was put forward and the sufficient conditions of stability were proved. The simulation result shows that the controller designed by the method can effectively inhibit time delay and insure stability of the system, and has good dynamic performance. The design method can be used to design the similar control system.
