As the foundation of the national economy industries, Electric power industry plays a support role on economic development and the people’s daily lives. In recent years, electric power enterprises pay more attention to technological innovation and management innovation. It’s seen that science and technology are primary productive forces, and knowledge management promote development. The factors which decide and affect the success of daily work are various. As a case of electric energy measurement management, management has a vital effect on the success of high voltage electric power daily work. However, if you just use a simple, rough, non-scientific way to manage the daily electric energy metering, only in order to complete the task, lax management or no management may result in delay of measurement management project schedule, inefficiencies, accomplishments, not meet the quality standards and other serious issues. What was worse, consequences will lead to an error. Therefore, using theories and methods of modern project management to measure and manage all the project lifecycle specifically and effectively, and setting up and controlling project objectives properly and effectively promote rational consolidation and optimization configuration of the entire project resource, so as to develop towards the rationalization of resources allocation and the maximization of the project benefit. This article provides the scientific basis and recommendations for management decisions, and support technology for the promotion of economic benefits and social benefits of electric power industry.This paper gets a lot of literature on ultra high voltage metering project management information via literature study. On the base of literature study, it sets up management objectives, and builds ultra high-voltage electric energy measurement management model based on project objectives, realizing the ultra high-voltage electric energy measurement project management. Finally, it uses computer technology to build extra-high voltage project management information system for electric energy metering. This paper selects Meng Xi’s500kV ultra high-voltage electric energy metering as a case, based on the theory study applies the project objectives measurement management model of ultra high-voltage electric energy to the instance, builds management systems and management information systems, and solves many problems of electric energy measurement. The technological level and management level in electric companies have been significantly improved, playing an important role in the sustainable development of the company.
