With the rapid development of science and industrial technology, People are constantly improving the fine and miniaturization of the products,for example self-walking micro-robot that can work in a small and dangerous place where human can’t work,the micro robots that can enter the body cavity, pipe, and even within the blood vessels in the body to complete the inspection and operation,etc. So micro-mechanine booms development, and all kinds of micro machining technology need tobe improved at the same time.Micro electrical discharge machining with a series of advantages widely used in the field of precision manufacturing industry, the industry and the academia attaches importance to and pay close attention to both at home and abroad. As an important part of micro edm machine tool.numerical control system not only plays an important role in reducing the labor intensity of operators and increasing security.but also gradually becomes the judgement of fine processing platform.lt is important to improve the machining precision and machining efficiency of platform.Refer to a large number of literature,the current relatively popular control structure is studied.Finally the "motion control card and industrial computer" architecture is adopted.The powerful multi-axis motion control card NI PCI-7350is insert in the expansion slot of industrial control computer (PCI) to constitute a master-slave distributed architecture.Motion control card as the core of the whole control system completes interpolation, servo motor control, safety control, etc.Industrial control computer is the human-computer interaction platform,and provide the user a variety of software development tools and management to develop control system.Servo system adopts Panasonic A5ac servo motor and drive with grating ruler.It has the very good accuracy and stability.Data acquisition card used for micro edm process discharge condition detection and CCD used to implement on-line detection and electrode interface with the PC by USB.The micro edm device control system is developped by the software named labview with the NI Vision&Motion VI, DAQmx and other functions which is the NI company output.The modular design concept is used to develop the software.Ffinally all are set into a complete system.On the basis of hardware and software above, the basic process experiments, micro shaft processing experiments and micro hole machining experiments were finished.Those experiment verify the feasibility of the control system,and the control system can satisfy the processing requirements.
