The development of modern NC machine is towards to a trend of high speed, high precision, composite, intelligent, green and environmental. As a important part of NC machine,the servo drive unit’s merits of the performance directly decided the whole performance of the machine, so the rapid development of the NC machine raise higher and higher demands on the performance of servo drives. Compared to the servo feed way of "rotating electrical machines+ball screw" which is adopted by traditional NC machine, the way of linear servo drive has the advantages of high speed, high precision and large thrust, it has broad prospect in the application of high speed and high precision numerical control system. This text took PMSLM as the controlled object, did some deep researches on it’s peculiarity, operating principle, control strategy and the hardware and software design of servo control system, finally,did the experimental verification on the system.The text firstly analyzed the working principle and characteristics of PMSLM, proposed the structure optimization scheme of PMSLM’s servo system; analyzed some interferential factors that servo system suffered, took some corresponding compensation measures direct at those inferential problems, which thus suffered reliable basis for servo system’s software development.Secondly, analyzed the theory of transformation of coordinates and vector control, Under the synchronous rotating coordinates, built some mathematical modeling for the servo system of PMSLM introduced the principle and implementation of vector control system and voltage space vector control technology, and also did some deep exploration on the control strategy of current inner loop, speed central loop and position loop that just for servo control system from inside to outside, aim at the characteristics of the system and the practical applications proposed that in current inner loop,did some episematic compensations for the dynamic quality that changes apparently.Then, introduced hardware design schemes which took "DSP+FPGA+IPM" as the core and the working principle of absolute type grating ruler in detail, then according to modular program design thought, made use of C language and Verilog HDL language to do software programming for DSP and FPGA, and showed program flow chart for the main module of servo system.At last,under the environment of MATLAB/Simulink simulation, built a simulation model for PMSLM servo control system and did some simulation tests. Then constructed experimental test platforms to do the practical tests for the system’s important performance, through the simulation result and actual test data,verified the correctness of the system design, also made a foundation for some subsequent research works like further system optimization and the improvement of control methods strategy.
