The surface of PET silk screen was treated by air low temperature plasma. andmodification effect of PET silk screen by two different modification methods betweenPlasma activation treatment and Plasma grafting in situ polymerization processing wasstudyed respectively.Testing the contact Angle of polyester silk screen samples before and afterprocessing evaluated the modification effect. Systematicallyit studyed that testparameters involved in two kinds of processing methods like the reaction gas, power,reaction pressure affected the modification effects of polyester silk screen processed.This study did the performance tests for before and after processing of polyester silkscreen samples like breaking strength, elongation at break, tensile response rates and soon. Though those tests,we can see the modification whether it would affect mechanicalproperty of samples. At the same time, by infrared spectroscopy and X-rayphotoelectron spectroscopy technique, the change of chemical constitution andcomponents of PET silk screen was studied, and with the aid of scanning electronmicroscope, the change of longitudinal surface morphology structure of PET silk screenafter processing was studied.The results showed that two different modification methods processing couldimprove the hydrophilicity of PET silk screen significantly and its invasive and raise itsantistatic property. At the same time,it had little effects on the mechanical properties ofthe silk screen;By infrared spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopytechnique, it showed that oxygen-containing groups were introduced after two differentmethods processing;scanning electron microscopeshowed that the surface of PET silkscreencould etch and graft after processing;Timeliness results showed that themodification effect of plasma processing decayed with the extension of time, but the modification effect of Plasma grafting in situ polymerization processing decayed slowerand could keep better than plasma activation treatment.
