Tire rolling resistance directly affects power consumption and energy saving of atire. Obtaining accurate tire rolling resistance test data plays an important role in theoptimal design of tire structure to further reduce the tire rolling resistance. Andadvanced test equipm^its and precise test methods are the preconditions of the relatedresearch on the tire rolling resistance.In this paper, generation mechanism, test methods and effect factors of the tirerolling resistance were analysed ifrstly. On this basis, taking the roller-type tire rollingresistance test system as the research object,the related design parameters wereestablished. And design of the roller system, dirve and transmission system, hydraulicloading system, tire rotating axis system and air-operated system have been finished.Secondly, three-dimensional model of the present tire test equipment wasestablished. Furthermore, for the purpose of meeting the strength, stiffness andstability requirements, the mechanics and vibration characteirstics of the keycomponents and the overall structure of the present equipment were analysed by theifnite element method.Thirdly, taking the ANSYS sotfware as the simulation tool, a three-dimensionalfinite element model of the195/65R15radial tire was created. Mechanical propertiesand temperature characteirstics of the tire under the expeirmental conditions wereanalyzed and numerical data were obtained.Finally, to verify the rationality of the finite element simulation, tire rollingresistance test expeirments were carired out, then test data and simulation results werecontrastively analyzed. According to the present investigation, the followingconclusions can be drawn:(1) The roller-type tire rolling resistance test equipment designed in this study cannot only meets the demand of tire rolling resistance test, but also satisifes the structural mechanics and vibration characteirstics;(2) The three-dimensional finite element mechanical model and the ifnite elementanalysis method of the study about the tire rolling resistance are reasonable. |
