Abstract/Summary:
Xing Jiadu yellow river irrigation area is built in1973,which is the largest of the six yellowriver irrigation areas in Jinan, Shandong. It is located on the left bank of the Yellow River inthe northeast of Jinan[1]. The sand basin of Xing Jiadu yellow river irrigation area had run fornearly30years and had stopped using since2002, and this causes the complete abandonmentof the sand basin which is about204hm2. The major source of local sand is from thedeposited sediment in waste sand basin of Xing Jiadu yellow river irrigation area since2002,which lead to serious consequence to local ecological environment[2]. Therefore, themanagement of the waste sand basin is imminent. This paper take the sand basin as acomplete wetland ecological environment system and ecological economy system to conductcomprehensive study, which can be good for the sustainable development of the sand basin.This paper analyzes the status of the waste sand basin to find its problems by collecting itsrelated data, and classifies the suitability level of sand basin into three classes by evaluatingits land suitability. Then, using the status and evaluation result makes several proposals ofecological restoration measures. Finally, this paper finds the optimum proposal by buildingmulti-objective programming model to compare the several proposals. This paper is dividedinto six parts:The first part is the introduction. This part introduces the background, significance, contentand methods of the study.The second part explains the overview of the waste sand basin of Xing Jiadu yellow riverirrigation area and the technical route to implement this study.According to the information which come from the literature and fieldwork, the third partanalyzes the land use status of the waste sand basin of Xing Jiadu yellow river irrigation area,finds the problems of the waste sand basin,and proposes corresponding solutions.The fourth part is the suitability evaluation of the waste sand basin of Xing Jiadu yellowriver irrigation area. Based on the characteristics of the waste sand basin, this part makes asuitability evaluation on the woodland, farmland and wetland of the waste sand basin, anddivides each type of land use into three classes according to their different suitability.The fifth part is the optimum location of ecological restoration model of the waste sandbasin of Xing Jiadu yellow river irrigation area. According to the status of the waste sand basin and the result of the land suitability evaluation, this paper makes several proposals forthe ecological restoration of the waste sand basin, then, tries to choose the best proposalwhich can maximize the ecological benefits and the economic benefits by establishingmulti-objective programming model and using LINDO software to calculate each ecologicalrestoration proposal. Finally, this paper concludes that the optimum ecological restorationproposal is to restore the sand basin into wetland.
