With the development of science, the spinning industry is greatly improved in recent years. The progress of various new kinds of spinning techniques is promoted by the introduction of new control and computer technologies, among all kinds of spinning techniques the rotor spinning was undoubtedly one of the most representational ones. All nations around the world, including China, have strived to develop the rotor spinning. It’s typically true in China. There are several manufactures such as Jingwei Textile and Shanghai Textile to produce rotor spinners. However, the textile equipment they produced is mainly in low level or medium level because of the lack of advanced technology The features of the equipment which is developed in domestic are the manual joints and low revolving speed and so on. Therefore a novel control system is urgently required with advanced technology by spinning equipment to highly improve the technology content of spinner industry in China.The primary works in this thesis are presented as follows:1) The development status of rotor spinner at domestic and abroad are investigated and surveyed, meanwhile the advantages and disadvantages of the current products at home and abroad are analyzed. The PID control and PROFIBUS theory are researched such key techniques as.2) The technological characteristics and requirements of rotor spinning are studied; the integrated design including the general designs of both hardware and software on the basis of the analysis of the requirements of function are accomplished.3) The modularized programming technique is used in the compiling of embedded software:according to the product function, the software modules of mutual independence are complied and all the modules can be debugged respectively and one will not be influenced by the others.4) The sample is finally made and the commissioning is carried out in the equipment. After sufficient test, the result is proved by its high success rate of semi-automatic jointing, the timely stop after yarn broken, high degree of automation; reliable performance and the satisfaction of the design requirementsThis thesis is supplied to the high-end manufacturers of spinning equipment with a designing scheme, in which the complete automation can be realized with high-precision controlling function to enhance the production efficiency and quality and reduce the burden of workers, for a new section board of rotor spinner.
