High-grade CNC(computerized numerical control) machine tools manufacturingis one of the core technologies of the equipment manufacturing industry, and in thenational defense industry and high-technology industry, the manufacturing accuracyof the high-grade CNC machine tools is required to achieve submicron level anddozens of nanometer level, and the surface roughness is required to nanometer levelas well. High-speed and high-precision numerical control machine bed and someprecision measuring instruments are both use cast iron as the main material, which notonly put a bad influence on dynamic and static performance, accuracy of machinetools and measuring instruments, but also consume a lot of energy and pollute theenvironment at the same time. So people began to keen study of other materialsinstead of cast iron, by comparison, the artificial granite is the ideal material. Themanufacturing of machine tools and lathe bed of measuring instruments (workingplatform) by using artificial granite can deserve a huge economic, society andenvironment benefits.The main contents of the study can be listed as follows:First of all, the optimal mix ratio of artificial granite is studied in the Lab, and theuniform design method is also introduced into the study. All the data obtained fromthe experiment is used for regression analysis by using SPSS commercial softwareand is optimized by MATLAB commercial software to get the optimal mix ratio. Thedensities and the component contents are measured and the micro-morphology isanalyzed by SEM to present the advantages of the manufacturing of artificial graniteby using the optimal mix ratio model.Secondly, the creep properties of artificial granite are studied and mechanism andtheory are expounded as well. A beam structure is prepared with artificial granite, andthe creep curves under different loads are obtained by using four-point bending testmethod.Finally, the amplitude-frequency response curves are tested by using freevibration method with well-prepared artificial granite specimen, and compared with that of cast iron.There is a theoretical and actual significance of the research on the preparationprocess of artificial granite and its properties, because it can not only improve theproperties of the numerical controlled machine tools and the standard of theequipment manufacturing, but also strengthen the competition of national economy inour country.
