Polypropylene is a widely used polymer, but the lower impact strength, heat resistance, and modulus is its disadvantage. In order to expand its application, we choose polypropylene fabric and glass fiber as enhancement. Self-reinforced composite materials combined with polypropylene fabric and polypropylene has the advantage of low density, complete recovery, low pressure thermoforming, scraping and impact resistance. This article discusses the process parameters polypropylene fabric reinforced polypropylene composites, find that the best molding temperature190℃, molding pressure200GPa, molding time5min.Glass fiber is a wide source material with the advantage of mechanical strength, flame resistance and heat resistance, chemical resistance, mildew resistance and anti-corrosion ability, usually used as reinforcing material. This article successfully prepared glass fiber reinforced polypropylene composite materials, and analysis in mechanics, SEM and DSC. The comprehensive strength of the composites closely related to fiber content, so the fiber content should be chosen according to actual use. According to DSC patterns, the composite fiber has two spaced exothermic peak reveals that it does not belong to blend.
