Under the background of advocating energy saving and emission reduction in the world,vehicle lightweight has become a hot research topic.Poly propylene(PP)is widely used in vehicles due to its advantages of low density,good mechanical properties and recyclablity,but as non-polar polymer,its poor compatibility with most polymers limits its application.This thesis selects glass fiber reinforced maleic anhydride grafted modified polypropylene(MAPP/GF)with high specific strength,high specific modulus,better recycling and strong adhesion ability as the research object.Firstly,the bonding process of MAPP adhesive film was made by melt-spraying technics of maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene(MAPP)is discussed,and then the MAPP/GF laminates and MAPP/GF/AL fiber metal laminates are fabricated and their mechanical properties are investigated,The main contents are as follows:(1)To solve the problem of weak interfacial bonding strength in composite bonding,MAPP adhesive film was used to test the quasi-static tensile shear strength of glass fiber reinforced polypropylene(PP/GF)single lap joint compared with PP its own melt connection,when using the MAPP adhesive film,only a small contact pressure and a short contact time can complete the bonding process,compared with PP own hot melt connection is more convenient and more feasible.The results shows that the MAPP adhesive film is suitable for many different materials and its adhesive strength is comparable to that of Epoxy resin film.(2)MAPP/GF laminates were fabricated by compression molding,its optimization of molding process and ply methods were studied,The testing results show that,15 MPa,pressure At 155℃,The laminates has the best tensile and bending properties,tensile strength up to 331.0 MPa,Bending strength up to 243.8MPa;In the exploration of plying methods,The laminates stretched or compressed in the direction of the fiber,So the tensile and bending properties of(0°)8ply method are all optimal;(0°/90°)4laminates have lower tensile bending performance than(0°)8laminates,Because of its isotropic nature,It is also sufficient to meet the requirements of most non-main structural parts of the vehicle.(3)Fabricated MAPP/GF/AL fiber metal laminates of 3/2 and 2/1 structures and conducted quasi-static tensile test,three-point bending test and II fracture toughness test.The results shows that the tensile strength of both laminates is higher than that of 6061 aluminum alloy,The tensile strength is 26.7%higher than that of 2/1 laminates structure and can achieve28.7%lightweight effect;II fracture toughness test shows that the failure process is divided into 4 stages,and its II fracture energy release rate GⅡcis about 2.16k J/m2.Finally,on the basis of the above experiments,the little MAPP/GF/AL fiber metal laminates anti-collision beam core are fabricated by compression molding,which establishes a foundation for their application in the field of vehicle lightweight.
