| Steel-making process is studied in this paper in60t EAF of Shi-steel Company. Inorder to know the flow of each element and multi reactions, metallurgical and thermalmodels are founded in EAF steel-making process, which can guide practical making steel.Practical condition of EAF steel-making process is analyzed and studied in this paper.The results indicate that the main process in which the materials are transformed intoregular steel in EAF is the energy’s demand and supply. Therefore, the prediction model ofpower demand is made in EAF steel-making process. The steel-making process in60tEAF is analyzed and the metallurgical model is founded as well as the thermal model.Then, the assistant software EAF SPM is finished.Combined with practice, the EAF steel-making process of four-units material issimulated and calculated in this paper. Energy supplying condition is calculated andanalyzed in steel-making process, which can guide steel-making operation. The EAF SPMsoftware is used in industrial test twice with the computer analysis. Each test was madewith202furnaces which contained24furnaces of GCr15bearing steel. The tests indicatethat the main targets in the test are very well. Firstly, the tests didn’t influence the naturalsteel-making process, because the tapping amount, utility ratio of metal and smeltingperiod didn’t change obviously. Secondly, the fluctuating range of oxygen consumptionper ton was controlled better and the oxygen consumption was increased. The oxygenconsumption was changed from25.9to28.2m3/t in the first test and26.3to29.1m3/t inthe second test. Thirdly, the fluctuating range of electricity consumption per ton wascontrolled better and the electricity consumption was decreased. The electricityconsumption was decreased from333.0to302.8kWh/t in the first test and279.0to244.8kWh/t in the second test.The results indicate that the aim of saving energy and saving electricity is achievedthrough metallurgical and thermal model-calculations and two industrial tests. Thus, it’seffective that making steel can be guided by the analysis and calculation with the EAFSPM software. |
