Abstract:China has grown into the main production country of ceramic, with the biggest consumer on domestic porcelain and architectural and sanitary ceramics. Nevertheless, some issues such as high energy consumption and pollution significantly limit the development of current ceramic industry. Energy-saving technical reconstruction is thus required and the improvement of ceramic kiln has been already proved an effective way and widely applied in the past decade. However, there is not a specific evaluation system for the kiln reconstruction process so far. In this thesis, we aim to construct an evaluation system for energy-saving technical reconstruction process of ceramic kiln, which has important significance to the green development of ceramic industry. This work is one part of qualification process carried out by Hunan Research Center Of Energy-saving Evaluation Technology for the energy-saving technical reconstruction program in Hunan province, which is expected to apply for national award.Firstly, we analyzed the relationships of energy-saving, economy, environment, management and policy for ceramic kiln reconstruction program using engineering system theory. Moreover, the evaluation system was successfully constructed for the energy-saving technical reconstruction of ceramic kiln based on Delphi method, Analytic Hierarchy Process and Weighted Average Integrated method.The as-constructed evaluation system consists of target layer, criterion layer, and index layer. Target layer is used to examine the grade of ceramic kiln reconstruction program. Evaluations upon energy-saving, economy, environment, management and policy are conducted in target layer. Fifteen indexes are defined for the index layer. Specific speaking, change rate of energy-consumption per ton ceramic, qualified rate of porcelain and priority of equipment are selected as indexes for energy-saving evaluation. There are four indexes for economic evaluation, including financial net present value, financial internal rate of return, payback period, and investment profit rate. As for environmental evaluation indexes, emission of waste gas pollutant, dust particles, and thermal pollution are considered. Besides, the main indexes for management evaluation contain organizational construction, implementation of management system, and skills training. Furthermore, the policy is lastly evaluated with respect of energy-saving budget and national financial incentive.To exactly calculate the evaluation value, the index weight value is firstly determined by Delphi method and Analytic Hierarchy Process. The comprehensive results of our evaluation system could be finally approached using Weighted Average Integrated method.The as-constructed comprehensive evaluation system for energy-saving is employed to inspect the ceramic kiln reconstruction program of Hunan Research Center Of Energy-saving Evaluation Technology architectural and sanitary ceramics company located in Hunan province. The evaluation results show that the integrated energy-saving program is in good level, especially for the economic and environmental benefit. The company also conducts policies on energy-saving budget and national financial incentive very well. However, employee skill training still needs to be improved further for achieving higher energy-saving level. The comprehensive evaluation value is84.05, indicating the good level of energy-saving and reliability of the evaluation result.
