salvianolic acid B is the main phenolic acid component in the Chinese traditionalmedicine miltiorrhiza Bge. It has good prospect in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseasetreatment for its anti-lipid peroxidation, scavenging free radicals and anti-thrombosis. But inthe preparations with salvianolic acid B as active ingredient, how to maintain its stability insolution becomes application of the bottleneck.In this paper, salvianolic acid B was first enriched by silica gel chromatography. Afterresin CG161RP-Preparation, Monomer compound salvianolic acid B was obtained.Theeffect of temperature, light intensity, pH value and metal ions on the stability of salvianolicacid B were researched by HPLC and UV spectrophotometry. And some additives areselected to improve the stability of Salvianolic acid B. The stability constant of salvianolicacid B and Fe3+is measured by HPLC.The result indicates that Salvianolic acid B is stable in weak acid, but prone todecompose in strong acid and alky; VCcan improve the stability of Salvianolic acid B,otherwise NaHSO3and Na2S2O3accelerate its decomposition. Salvianolic acid B is stablewith the temperature below100℃or light intensity within1800Lux~8000Lux. Such metalions as Fe3+、Fe2+、Ca2+could react with Salvianolic acid B.
