In the continuing studies on the compounds having new bioactivities structures, we investigated the Vernonia cumingiana Benth and Euonymus laxiflorus Champ.ex Benth.Twenty-nine compounds were isolated from them by repeated thin-layer chromatography (TLC),Sigel column chromatogram-phy (CC),gel column chromatography (Sephadex LH-20), reverse phase column chro-matography (ODS) and middle pressure liquid chromatography (MPLC) and the structures of twenty-six compounds were determined by the analysis of their NMR (1H、13CNMR、DEPT、1H-1HCOSY、HMBC、HSQC and NOESY),MS (EIMS、HRMS、ESIMS) and IR spectrum.Fifteen compounds were isolated from Vernonia cumingiana Benth and twelve compounds were identified as: α-spinastero (1),β-sitosterol (2), Fernenol (3), Tamarixetin (4), Apigenin (5),4-hydroxy-2-methoxycinnamaldehyde (6), Cholesterol (7), Stearic acid (8),β-daucosterol (9), Quercetin (10), Stigmasterol (11),4-methoxy-7-hydroxy-isoflavone (12). Compounds3-7were isolated from this plant for the first time.Fourteen compounds were isolated from the bark of Euonymus laxiflorus Champ. ex Benth..On the basis of spectral data (NMR,MS,IR,etc), their structures were identified as lupeol (S1), friedelin (S2), lupine ketone (S3),4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-ben zaldehyde (S4),scopoletin (S5),(+)-pinoresinol (S6),(-)-isoyatein (S7),coniferylaldehy de (S8), Geniposidic acid (S9), cholesterol (S10),(8R,8’R,9R)-cubebin (S11),(8R,8’R,9S)-cubebin (S12),3,5-dimethoxy-4-hydroxycinnamicaldehyde (S13), hexacosanic aci-d (S14).Compouds S1-S14were isolated from the bark of Euonymus laxiflorus for the first time.
