Study On NC Cutting Tool Matching And Management System Based On STEP-NC

With the rapidly development of modern manufacturing, NC cutting toolplays an increasingly important role in NC machining, it is very difficult to matchand manage NC cutting tool due to various tool types, quantities, broad parameters.In modern enterprises, NC cutting tool is still matched and managed manually bythe staff which has many drawbacks, and results in the waste of NC cutting tool,hence, it is an urgent question to solve for the enterprises to find an economical andefficiently NC tool matching and management system.Based on the analysis of current research of NC cutting tool matching andmanagement in this thesis, some existent mainly problems are studied, and based onthe basis of STEP-NC data model, several typical features of manufacturing aredescribed, combined the analysis of NC cutting tool feature information and basedon entropy calculation theory, the matching way of NC cutting tool is proposed, thedecision model is constructed and the optional matching cutting tool is obtained.; Inaddition, analysis of the objects and methods of NC tool management and thecontent of its management is determined, the new code edit method andidentification of NC cutting tool is proposed, which are used to implement theallocation and scheduling of NC cutting tool, based on Back Propagation neuralnetworks, the life prediction model of NC cutting tool is constructed, finally NCcutting tool is able to get effective management; At same time,the requirement ofNC cutting tool matching and management system is analyzed, the workflow of NCtool matching and management system is setted,the system user management, toolmatching, tool management, tool queries and other major functional modules ofNC tool matching and management are designed;Utilized ACCESS databasedevelopment software, based on VC++development platform, combined withoverall structure and various functional modules of system, the NC tool cuttingmatching and management system that based on STEP-NC is developed. The correct matching, rational use and effective management of NC cutting toolin NC manufacturing are solved by means of NC cutting tool matching andmanagement system development, which as a goal to improve the productivity andproduct quality of NC manufacturing.
