PAM gel system is the most commonly used as water shutoff and profile control agent on oil field. This paper aims to use oxalic acid chromium crosslinking agent to prepare PAM gel, studys the effect of technological conditions on gel and determines the gel formulations at certain temperature. In this paper, it starts to use oxalic acid, sodium dichromate, potassium hydroxide synthesi cross-linking agent, explores and determines the cross-linking formula and its pH application range; Study on effect of PAM, urotropine, crosslinking agent and sodium concentration on the gel time, the gel strength and gel properties, it uses phenol-formaldehyde resin and chrome Crosslinking agent prepare composite gel and optimizes gel properties. After the study, it has some following awareness and results:Crosslinking agent J1, J4is suitable for the preparation of PAM gel, and it’s pH=7-8; PAM, chrome Crosslinking agent, sodium sulfite can adjust the gelling of polyacrylamide gel time and enhance the gel strength; Urotropine, which is not significantly affect on gel time and gel strength within a certain range of concentration of the gel, is indispensable to PAM gel system; The PAM gel system’s formula, which PAM’s concentration is0.1%, at75℃environment:chrome Crosslinking agent J1, J4is0.60%~0.8%, urotropin is0.3%-0.4%, sodium sulfite is0.016%~0.022%, and gel time is12-14h; When chrome crosslink agents and phenolic resin are prepared composite gel, phenolic resins and chromium crosslink concentration ratio should be below6, compound gel’s gel time under the influence of phenolic resin’s concentration, and the effect of sodium sulfite’s concentration little; Thermal stability of PAM gel system is affected by PAM concentration, and PAM concentration is higher, the gel’s thermal stability is the better.Shavings, which is tanning industry solid wastes, contains a certain amount of chromium ion, the re-use is strictly limited. Generally, polyacrylamide gel uses chromium ion as crosslinking agent for oil Water Shutoff and profile control. On this basis, a combination of both chrome tanning shavings and polyacrylamide can use shavings for the preparation of water shut-off gel, and use its fibre tenacity and containing chromium ion characteristics, which play a role in enhancer and supplement chromium agent. In this study, adopts shavings, polyacrylamide and the assistant prepared the water shutoff gel. From the inspection of the influence of the composited gel performance by chromium shavings, it could draw a conclusion that when polyacrylamide concentration of0.5%, chrome shavings concentration of1.5%the gel strength isbest.
