Oil Wells Casing Damage Electromagnetic Detection System

Casing damage of oil-water well has long plagued oil field exploitation as a most serious problem. If accurate information about casing is unable to be obtained timely, operations of well could be affected subsequently, causing intensive impact on generations of society as well as huge waste of increasingly scarce oil gas resources. This paper, based on electromagnetic detection system of oil-water wells, designed a ground acquisition system to meet the operational needs and accurately obtain oil gas well casing damage conditions, orientation and type. It provides the basis of casing damage prevention, repair, scrape and casing damage mechanism analysis of casing, ensuring a stable and sustainable oilfield development.This paper starts with transient electromagnetic theory and introduces casing damage electromagnetic detector principle with various functions. On this basis, a set of perfect combination of hardware and software of the ground system is established. The hardware design including cable communication transmission, system power supply circuit, signal acquisition and processing circuit, decoding circuit, the depth about the signal of circuit and serial circuit design.PIC16F877, as the central processing chip, is adopted in the system to achieve better performance and to meet higher requirements, therefore effectively ensure the casing damage signals from the acquisition, processing to communicate with the host computer transmission and achieving a combination of signal and depth data. Software is divided into two parts:ground MCU control software and PC software. Software of ground MCU main task is to obtain downhole signal transmission up after the combination of signals with depth, then communicate with the computer through the interface; PC software is mainly to achieve the data filtering, real-time display, data storage and a series of treatment.Wells with downhole electromagnetic detection instrument ground system debug and conduct laboratory simulation experiments with oil field, has proved that the system has good stability, high reliability, and the features and advantages by external environment have small effect, to achieve the desired results of the study.
