The operation and performance of wide deep glass tank furnace used in domestic plants are analyzed in the present thesis. High melting efficiency and low energy consumption of the kiln in our plant are summarized. Besides, the defects on design, raw materials feeding and the issue occurred in operation are investigated. The measures for improving the performance of the kiln are proposed based on the analysis of the furnace of our company after operating one period, which is valuable for enhancing the furnace lifetime, reducing energy consumption and increasing the quality of products. In addition, this paper also concerns the study on the selection of raw materials, clarifying agent, decolourizing agent, fuel, and atmosphere controlling for producing ultra white bottle glasses. Furthermore, the technology for improving homogeneity of glass melts, reducing micro cracks, increasing physical and chemical properties as well as the production capability is developed.
