The optical glass is a sort of optical material, which is the most widely used in photoelectric product. With the rapid development of new photoelectric product, it is to demand higher quality of the optical glass, wider optical constant range, more varieties for new imaging.The phosphate optical glass that is one of basic optical glass systems belongs to the low dispersive optical glass. It has special relative partial dispersion i.e. the relative partial dispersion of the spectrum short wave area is bigger than that of the general crown glass. It can be the special dispersive optical glass of removing the second-class spectrum. It also can be used for many realms, raising the clearness of the optical image, improving the quantity, excelling the system. Therefore, the phosphate optical glass has good application foreground, market request and high additional value.Currently, in abroad, the continuous melting furnace for phosphate optical glass has already been put into use successfully. In the domestic, though people have made long time researches on the foundation theories, the formation, difficulties in technical controlling, such as volatilization etc, and obtained the certain experience, they still can't carry on the batch production of the continuous melting furnace for phosphate optical glass. It still placed in the trial stage of the single crucible.The mass production lines of the continuous melting tank furnace for the common optical glass have already been applied in practice. It is the foundation that develops the continuous melting tank furnace for phosphate optical glass.This text combines theories with practice together. This is also the key point of this graduation design. The development of the continuous melting tank furnace for phosphate optical glass has the very greatly practical worth and economic value.
