It is widely that metal equipments have a low-temperature corrosion caused by themedium HCl–H2S–H2O in the refinery, so, to do the relative research on this issue has beenparticularly important. Now, adding the low temperature corrosion inhibitor is one of efficientand feasible solutions for it. Therefore, with the improving consciousness of environmentprotection, the study and application to environment friendly corrosion inhibitors has gainedmore care, and it has become the focus of attention to develop the new type environmentsfriendly corrosion inhibitor with long chain fatty acid. As an oil solubility corrosion inhibitor,dodecencylsuccinic acid (T746) has a strong acidity and a quite poor solubility in water,and itis generally used as lubricant oil or rust-proof oil, less reports about its use of corrosioninhibitor used for refining.The subject is mainly to take a modification research on reducing the acidity andenhancing the corrosion inhibition performance of T746; discuss the synthetic process of theproduction of T746–M and make an evaluation to its corrosion inhibition performance.T746–M was synthesized with T746and monoethanolamine. The influence factor ofcompounding into M746–M will be found by single factor variable method, at the same time,the most proper compounding process conditions shall be confirmed through the orthogonaltest. The structure characterization of the synthetic material shall be tested by infraredspectrum. To evaluate the inhibitory performance of T746–M by using the method of dynamicweight loss, to observe the corrosion surface and the section morphology of test blocks byelectrochemical method, digital camera and microscope and electron microscope, then theelement analysis of the metal surface film shall be finished to take a tentative study of theT746–M’s inhibition mechanism. Mix the T746–M and castor acid imidazoline to study itssynergistic effect. Make a comparison between the mixture system and current factorycorrosion inhibitor to study its practical application value.Experiments statement: the mol rate of raw material, reaction temperature and time, allof them have a great influence on the compounding of T746–M, and their effect becomes poorin turn; the most proper compounding process of T746–M:the mol rate between the T746and MEA is1:1.1, the reaction temperature is140℃, the reaction time is2.5h. The inhibitoryperformance of the T746–M compounded in this condition can reach94.37%when we test itby the evaluation methods of static weight loss; the adding amount of the T746–M, the temperature of corrosive medium, the stay time and flow speed are the influence factors of it,when the corrosion inhibitory efficiency is reduced while the medium temperature, the staytime and flow speed are remained the same, the corrosion inhibitory shall be added more toensure the corrosion effect. The inhibitory mechanism is that the corrosion inhibitorymolecule formed many layers of full and steady adsorbed firms on the metal surface by thephysical absorption and chemical sorption, it can efficiently prevent the metal corrosion. Themixture system of T746–M can show a pretty synergistic effect, which is helpful to enhancethe corrosion performance. Its corrosion performance is better than that of the same kindcorrosion inhibitory applied in market, and its mixture system has a good corrosion inhibitoryperformance.
