Research for the metrological characteristics and main technical parameters of Pi tapesthrough the technology of geometric measurement，production factory standard of Pi tapesand associated verification regulation.2. Research for manufacture and modification environment, the selection of measuringequipment, test project, test method, the treatment of test result etc. of the Pi tapes refer to therequirement for drafting national specification of calibration materials.3. Investigation for the manufacture of Pi tapes of the country and analysis the collectionand calculated data.4. To assurance the reliability of measurement result, estimated the uncertainty of theresult.5. Summarizing the specification parameters of the Pi tapes associated with thepractically using which will be used for consulting the Pi tape national standard drafting.《Calibration Specification for Pi tapes》has been drafted, and has been examinated bythe measurement technique committee of geometric quantity engineering, this achievementhas been issued by General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantineof the People’s Republic of China, and has been implemented.
