A traditional mechanical press always works under fixed modes, limited movementpatterns with poor characteristics. It is not widely suitable for machining applicationswhere the requirement of adjusting the work curve for different matedals and differentstamping process should be met.Compared with the traditional mechanical press, servopress can precisely control the slider displacement and speed to meet differentrequirements of processing by controlling the speed of servo motor which directly drivesthe slider-crank mechanism. This makes press have the characters of flexibility andintelligence, develops work capacity and machining adjustments at the same time.In this research, we use permanent magnet synchronous servo motor as drive motorto study and design its control system. The purpose of design is based on vector controltheory of servo control system, and to design practical and standardized hardware andsoftware of the permanent servo AC motor control system.First, it summarizes the research status of the servo press at home and abroad, andservo control system performance, three common processing curve of the servo press.Second, it research the working principle of permanent magnet AC synchronousservo motor, according to the process requirements, set the servo motor control strategy.Third, according to existed technology and strategy of controlling servo motor, weshould complete its circuit control diagram. At the same time, use ARM processor as core, build a hardware platform to control system, aim to finish the program based on theSTM32processor.Finally, after site commissioning and initial validation work of the software andhardware system used for pre-engineering development, we can improve the servo controlsystem.
