As a large number of old landfill existed and a huge amount MSW accumulated, itexposed many environmental and social issues. During the12th Five-Year period, Chinahas begun to taken great efforts on these old landfill. The government has introduced therelevant policy documents. However there’s not any technical standards and guidance.Based on technical standard preparation of landfill remediation and the feasibilitystudy on Jingmen first landfill ecological remediation, the author carries out a master’sthesis. The paper uses methods of literature study, field research, AHP modeling and CaseStudy.It developes the preliminary environmental research workflow, pollution riskevaluation, as well as heterotopic mining process of old landfill and applies theprliminary results on Jingmen first landfill ecological remediation project. The mainfindings an conclusions are as follows:(1) The pollution survey research of the old landfill: The survey could be devidedinto three stages, namely the preliminary investingation stage mastering the basicsituation, the pollution risk evaluation stage determine the pollution level and thein-depth investigation stage providing a basis for the development of ecologicalremediation program.(2) The pollution risk assessment model: it uses AHP Modeling to weight the riskfactor, and then divides the pollution risk level. It provides the basis of the governanceordering and treatment technology selecting.(3) The heterotopic mining program: This paper discusses the methods and technicalrequirements of pre-stabilization of landfill remediation. It also develops the pollutioncontrol and security management requirements of the technical implementation bystudying the waste composition and the final route of the screened waste. (4) Case study of Jingmen first landfill ecological remediation project: The Oldlandfill contains551,000m3MSW, a total of501,000tons; Its pollution risk level is setas "high" considering the risk score which is72.83and the residential areas and waterwithin500meters. Stabilization measures should be taken before the exploitation, as wellas strict pollution control and security management requirements. The project with totalconstruction investment of12,367,700yuan has the unit cost of processing at least53.2yuan per ton.
