| With the fast development of modern industry, slab continuous casting technologyat home has improved a lot. Increasing productivity and quality of the slab has becomethe key focus in iron&steel industry. Deburring machine is a kind of special equipmentused to remove the residual burrs at the edge after the billet cut by the slab continuouscaster, providing a subsequent treatment to the slab. Qinhuangdao Shouqin MetalMaterial Co., Ltd has signed a manufacturing contract with GEGA from Germany onREBRA style centrifugal grinding hammer deburring machine. GEGA is themanufacturer of continuous caster with the largest scale in Europe. We will furthernarrow the gap in slab subsequent processing technology between China and abroadbased on the burring machine development of this project, and gradually formindependent development and innovative technical features in the manufacturing industryof metallurgical equipments.This paper studies the key design and process technology of REBRA-type deburringmachines for continuous casters. According to the production practice, summarized thecommon malfunctions of the hammer knife type deburring machines and analyzes thecauses of the malfunctions. This paper also summarized the formation process,characteristics and the bad performance of removal efficiency of the burrs. This paperalso studied the highly efficiency of REBRA-type deburring machines with the statisticalcomparison method, burrs removal efficiency of different kinds of steels under differentlife cycles was obtained and the best optimum technology parameters are found. Usingthe dynamic-static method and the ANSYS software, the causes of the malfuctionsappeared in practical production of the deburring machines in3#continuous castingproduction line of Shouqin Metal Material Co. was obtained. Finally, analyzed themodified structure with the finite element method and verified the rationality of the newdesign.The new generation deburring machine has provided a more advanced method toimprove the quality of billet surface. It is significant practical to master its design andmanufacture technology for the international competition of casting slab with highquality. |
