Nanomaterials with different morphologies, size and dimension value, how toobtain controlled nano-materials, performance, regulation and the practical applicationof materials is important, so the preparation has the various morphologiesmicro/nanomaterial to explore the crystal growth process and to reveal the mechanismof its formation to become today’s chemistry and material science research focus. Rareearth elements have unique optical, electrical, magnetic and other physical and chemicalproperties, so that it has access to a wide range of applications in the field of functionalmaterials. With the continuous development of nanotechnology, rare earth compoundsprepared micro/nano-scale materials can further expand the range of applications of thecompound. In this paper, the hydrothermal method and direct precipitation prepared aseries of rare earth compounds micro/nanomaterials and to study the fluorescenceproperties.1.The hydrothermal method, triphenyl phosphate as a phosphorus source, preparedmorphology uniform, monodisperse LaPO4submicron ball. Time experiments showedthat the growth process, taken from the nano/micron of ball reaction mechanism wasdiscussed. By dopant activation Eu3+ and Tb3+ under UV irradiation show a strong redemission and green emission.2.Using simple fast direct precipitation, lanthanum rare earth ions (La3+) as thecenter of metal ions, phthalic acid as ligand, synthesis phthalic acid lanthanum longnanobelts. Reaction time shows that at the beginning of the reaction is the nanobelts, shows that formation of nanobelts, mainly depends on its internal crystal structure.Nanobelts with different activator ions on the fluorescence properties was studied.
