With the recession of global economic at a rapid rate, the various socialproblems have become increasingly prominent, particularly on energyissues. Energy is to support the development of science and technology,even an important pillar of the economic and social development.Therefore, the study of energy-saving technology is the key. In thiscontext, energy-saving technology has been promoted in recent years anda lot of significant results have been acquired. In Petroleum machineryindustry, the energy-saving technologies are embodied in many of themechanical design and manufacturing, and energy-saving pumping unithas been vigorously promoted, it can not only meet the energy demand,but also significantly reduce investment and operational costs. Combinedwith the practical experience of the pumping unit works, energy-savingpumping unit has adopted the design of modern energy-saving technology.It has the features of good movement, dynamic performance and energyefficient.This paper is based on own invention and design of new energy-savingpumping unit-parallel four-bar linkage pumping unit. First of all, on thebasis of the simplified model, the theoretical analysis of the kinematicsand kinetics of the pumping unit have been completed, and its rules havebeen drawn out using MATLAB programming; then, based on theSolidWorks platform of3D design soft, it incorporates modeling aspects,design aspects, analytical aspects and optimization, achieving the finiteelement analysis and structural optimization design of the newenergy-saving pumping unit; After that, the static balance features andpower consumption of the parallel four-link pumping unit have beentested through test platform which is designed and manufactured by ourown; Finally, the theoretical calculation results and experimental results are compared, and the reasons have been analyzed.To analyze theoretically the rules of kinematics and kinetics of thetransmission and the drive mechanism of the new pumping unit, it isfound that the new pumping unit is moving stably and precisely and theenergy consumption of movement is low in full static equilibrium.Through finite element analysis and the optimal design of structure of thenew pumping unit, it is found that, after optimization, part weight isgreatly reduced and meets in the course of their work load. The securitystrength is also improved, and the movement is about smooth andapproximately reaches static equilibrium. Finally, the test results weredrawn by researching on the power consumption of new pumping unit.When the AC servo drive control AC servo motor output speed constant,the motor output power is changing as load power, and in staticequilibrium, no matter how much load changes, the maximum power ofthe motor output unchanged.In summary, the new type of energy-saving pumping unit can not onlymeet the general operating characteristics of the pumping unit, but alsohas good kinematic and dynamic performance, and reduce the movementof energy consumption. And optimization analysis and power test showsthat, as long as the new pumping unit structure weight relative to thepumping unit fulcrum torque remain unchanged or smaller in the courseof the campaign, regardless of the pumping unit load change,themaximum output power remain constant, and it has little powerconsumption relative to the conventional-type pumping unit.
